Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance review

Posted : 4 years, 4 months ago on 22 November 2019 11:58 (A review of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance)

Awful music, tedious find the right way, OP powers, OP relics. Too easy almost bosses, generic story. Besides, the map sometimes can't help you because the map is colored but the game don't remember you when a relics lacks you, for example the heart of vlad.

Fire Emblem review

Posted : 4 years, 5 months ago on 30 October 2019 02:39 (A review of Fire Emblem)

Competent and more natural game on how to recruit characters, with the best OST of the GBA trilogy, but their Lyn mode tutorials are tedious, treating you as an idiot and it also feels heavy to play without hassles to Eliwood and Hector modes, You will ALWAYS have to play Lyn mode first.
I appreciate the same story but with different perspectives of characters and that several critics are very memorable (especially Hector, who is much more human than another character in the GBA trilogy) but the story is full of stupid conveniences. And for what Ninian's accidental death drama if later resurrected? That seems cowardly to me.
And then there is the issue of many characters we do not find enough utility, and includes some characters at the last moment in the way that neither the support system is worth using on them.
Not to mention the chapter where you must save Zephiel. Who will have to depend so high on chance would be a good idea?

Still it is enjoyable and strategic, with an acceptable difficulty, being perfect for those who want to start playing a game of the franchise.
Edit: And as a bonus, it's good that they took out the option to buy items at the beginning of each chapter, because it gives more sense of survival to the game and more consistency with the environment

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones review

Posted : 4 years, 5 months ago on 17 October 2019 12:03 (A review of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones)
